Martí Sorolla II Reflexion videos from Students

Your voice is ours comes to an end with a few reflection videos, we will have to postpone for a better time connections with other schools, because for now it is different countries that we have face-to-face classes closed, but not remote, as well that we will create a Flipgrid to share on social networks and that the participating centers can connect with the different participating students, since with this situation the connections in Skype with the class will be dilate in time.

From Martí Sorolla II we have made different videos where our students have valued the learning that they have consolidated with the project.

Spanish students survey their elders on Education and Women: Working SDGs4 & SDGs5

Activity 4 of the project focuses on the possibilities of women to obtain a quality education. Spain has changed a lot in the last 40 years, and our last generations have to be aware that access to education, with the possibilities that entails, have not always been easy or easy for women or men.

That is why the students of 4 ESO prepared the questions to conduct the survey to their closest relatives during the Christmas holidays. Hence, after the survey

SWAY

My school is an Primary school, attended by about 600 students between the ages of 7 and 13. I teach 11- to 13-year-old students (Computer Science). I am not a classical teacher, I have been teaching for 5 years (I am Graduated Engineer of Electronics) and before that I worked at the Research and Development Department about 20 years. Maybe because of that, I understand why it is important to link Science and Education. Me and some of my colleagues are aware that it is necessary for STEM and STEAM to be the basis of the curriculum and we are trying to base our work on it. We use the PBL method and SAMR model in teaching, including other subjects for student projects.

My school has been selected as the Microsoft School. Microsoft in Education platform has allowed me to connect with educators from all over the world and build my PLN, sharing experiences and organizing cooperation in the classroom. My goal in working with students is to prepare them to apply knowledge in real life, to recognize their programming preferences, and to encourage especially girls, for STEM discipline. In a way, I give them an example because I’m a graduated electronic engineer.

Our school Vožd Karađorđe is eTwinning School and STEM School also. Students are involved in many differrent international projects, which are incorporated in curriculum, or students work on them in posts-school activity and they like it. These projects is important because they develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboratively work and on these way learn to link their knowledge with real-life situations. This project is challenge for them to express what they really mean and they like it.

1st Activity: connecting Students with Flipgrid

The first activity of the month of September was to present himself using Flipgrid, the presentation of our students was in the Valencian language and inglés, briefly commenting on what they would like to dedicate themselves to moreis,as well as some of theirhobbies. Flipgrid offers us QR code of recorded videos, which are displayed with Augmented Reality if we read them with our mobiles from the Flipgrid app. With this novelty, students were able to look for colleagues from other countries who would like to study the same

We study our education system: Second activity of Our Project

Throughout the months of November and December our students have been preparing presentations in different formats to be able to report on the educational system. These presentations have been made in the different countries participating in the Project. From  Martí Sorolla II, (Valencia, Spain) students have prepared presentations of the Spanish education system using Powerpoint or Sway. Comment that these presentations have been made in both Spanish and English.
